Growing children and pets are most affected
by lead and heavy metals in the environment

The best of homes may
have hidden problems with lead

Most homes built before 1974 have lead based paint, according to government studies. Lead paint chips and other sources of lead such as factory and automobile emissions contribute to soil contamination in residential neighborhoods.

Government and independent studies have shown lead to be a major health hazard for growing children www.hud.gov/lea/leadhelp.html

If you have reason to suspect that your home or property has lead contamination problems you can easily test paint and soil with a simple lead testing kit from http://www.leadinspector.com/

Cost effective lead paint encapsulation and treatment

REMOVE LEAD BASED PAINT with LEADX®-DB and chemical paint stripper.  LEADX®-DB may be used with any commercially available chemical paint stripper.

COVER EXISTING LEAD BASED PAINT, add 8 oz. LEADX®-DB paint additive per gallon of paint and apply with brush or roller. LEADX®-DB for paint is a very fine powder and may add a small amount of texturing to the paint finish.  May be used with any sealer or paint, with or without pigment.

**TREAT SOIL by tilling LEADX® for Soil into the contaminated areas. LEADX® for Soil works equally well on Mercury and other toxic metals (see Test Results) LEADX® for Soil may be ordered using order form.

LEADX® heavy metals soil treatment is a multipurpose heavy metals treatment. Apply LEADX® and rake or till into contaminated soil for immediate treatment. No special equipment is required, simply spread LEADX® soil treatment over contaminated soil and rake or till to a uniform mixture.

Cost effective soil treatment:
** 2 inch deep treatment
LEADX® 1/6 Inch layer over soil
50 pounds - Coverage 80 square feet

* To insure adequate treatment, a sample of treated soil should be tested by a certified laboratory. Additional applications of LEADX® may be needed if levels of heavy metals are not reduced to a safe level.
** If contamination is more than a few inches deep, a certified contractor may be needed. To treat deep contamination, heavy equipment may be necessary to blend LEADX® with soil.
